Overflow hotel and booking issue update
Hello Furpocalypse Attendees,
We would like to update you all with an issue that has arisen after our hotel booking was completed. After selling out we were informed the number of bookings allowed exceeded the number of rooms available, therefore there are a number of hotel reservations that must be canceled. We have already notified people via email if they were affected by this issue prior to this statement being released.
If you have not received an email from us your reservation has not been affected. The hotel will be reaching out to confirm cancellations in the next day or two and we understand how frustrating this is.
We have worked with a partner hotel in Stamford to secure these attendees affected by this issue at The Stamford Hotel located at 700 E Main St, Stamford, CT 06901. The same room style that was booked in the main hotel will be secured at the overflow.
Furpocalypse has also contracted with an executive shuttle service to ferry any attendee or their guests to and from the overflow hotel at no cost to you. This shuttle will be a fursuit-friendly walk on style bus.
This shuttle will tentatively run:
Friday 9am -3am
Saturday 9am -3am
Sunday 9am – 10pm
We are still in talks with the overflow hotel on how people who were unable to book a room at the main hotel after the sellout can go about booking rooms at the overflow and take advantage of this shuttle service.
We have done everything possible on our end to make this right for you, our attendee, in hopes that those affected still join us for 2023. Once again, we sincerely apologize on behalf of Furpocalypse for this inconvenience.
