Hotel Changes and Booking Information

Hello Furpocalypse Attendees!

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a chance to speak with you all, but I wanted to let you know that some big improvements have been in the works with our venue.

Late last week it was confirmed that our Hilton property will be rebranded to a DoubleTree by Hilton starting this week, and undergoing a full renovation in 2026. Due to these changes, we have had to delay our booking process so that we could get new booking links that would not expire after the changeover. We appreciate your understanding during this change, and look forward to greeting you for our 2025 con year.

Links to hotel bookings will be going live August 16th 2025 at 3pm EST, with Dealer bookings beginning this week. We will be emailing dealers with links to the vendor’s block where you will be able to book your rooms.

For our first round of bookings, we will be enforcing a four night minimum stay: Thursday check-in, Monday morning check-out. After the initial booking is complete, the rooming blocks will be opened up to any rooms that remain. We have no official partner hotels this year, but do recommend the Hampton Inn Stamford, which is nearby the hotel. Additional hotels are the close-by Super-8 or La Quinta.

Parking for the event will be $15 per our contract with the hotel, down from the original $25 per night. All attendees parking a vehicle on the property will be asked to pay for parking if they are utilizing the garage. A shuttle service will be running to the train station, as well as downtown Stamford.

The hotel has asked us to clarify that if you are requesting a “quiet floor” room, you should use the “high floor” option during room selection. These are in limited quantities, so please be diligent when choosing your room.

We’re excited to share an updated venue with you in 2026, and have been told that some changeovers have already begun! Updated mattresses and TVs have been placed in all the guest rooms already.

Once again, Furpocalypse is looking forward to welcoming you for your trip through the “Midnight Dimension,” and we can’t wait to see you in October!

Regards,
Nico DeWolfe
